Today was our first official day with a real teacher. And oh man were we challenged. This week is all on the importance of prayer. I have always been a slacker when it comes to praying. Recently I had been feeling convicted about this so this class was a real kick to my gut. Our teacher is a Jewish believer which is fascinating to me to learn from him. His name is Ed Kleiman with Small Cloud Ministries and his website is www.praybold.org. I highly encourage you all to check it out. Here is a man completely devoted to prayer. And really it makes sense. How can we expect to grow in our faith if we never confess, talk, petition, praise and intercede in prayer?
I could sermonize you for paragraphs but dinner is calling and the kids are getting restless. Communal living is fun at mealtimes. We take turn cooking and cleaning and we usually all eat together. If you wanted to pray for us this week (which you will if you check out Ed's website) you could pray for patience for me. I am really struggling with Hannah. We are butting heads every few minutes. Also Aiden and Hannah start school tomorrow. Pray for their fitting in quickly. And please keep our whole team here in prayer. You can pray specifically for the countries they are all going to.
Abby is going to Hungary, Anna and Kristin are going to Slovakia, the Roberts family is going to Romania and we of course are going to Uganda. Thanks so much for all you prayers and interest in what God is doing among us!
