 Pray for Team Five Morris

Prayer is the backbone of our ministry, and we invite you to be a part of it. We depend on people from around the world to pray for the ministries of Team Five Morris and the rest of the team at International Messengers. We need you to pray for our safety, effectiveness, fruitfulness in ministry, and for our kids.

Please pray for hearts and minds to be open to the gospel message, and for believers to grow strong in their faith.

If you would like to see how God can use you in the world, teaming up with us is a great place to start. A visit with us offers you the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and invest in something bigger than yourself; to discover a world where God is at work in wonderful ways, and to be a part of it. With a flexible attitude and a servant’s heart, you’ll be a blessing to many, and you’ll come home blessed as well.

Trips and projects vary widely. Every effort is made to match your gifts and abilities to an assignment that will suit you well. There are needs in teaching, medicine, engineering and construction, office and administrative work, agriculture and community development, technical support and more. You simply come to lend a hand in whatever way you're called to.

Individuals - You tell us the kind of ministry you'd like to be involved in, how long you'd like to serve, where you'd like to serve, and when you want to go. Then we do our best to find a project that combines your desires with the needs on the field. Opportunities exist in the areas of Administration, Agriculture, Church Work, Community Development, Education, Engineering, Finance, Health Care, Missionary Kids, Theological Education, and Youth Work. We'd be glad to explore other possibilities with you.

Teams - Being part of a mission team is an excellent opportunity to serve while establishing quality interpersonal relationships with other team members and nationals. You'll need to be willing to give up personal rights and be vulnerable and accountable to the team. Together, you'll make a difference in each others' lives and in the lives of those you serve here in Uganda. Team ministries can include:  Construction, Discipleship, Medical Ministries, Prison Ministry, Sports Ministry, Teaching, Youth Ministry, and Prayer Teams.

Looking for specific ways to pray for us? This seven-day prayer list provides practical prayer points to help you make a difference on your knees.

SUNDAY

Pray that God would open the eyes and ears of the spiritually blind and deaf that we are attempting to reach with the gospel.

Pray that God would prepare some FAT (faithful, available, and teachable) disciples that we could train and that will one day be able to train others.

Pray that God would fill us with the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) as we minister to others.

Pray that God would make us humble servants of the church in Uganda and that we would be free from pride.

Pray that God would give us wisdom as we seek more effective strategies for reaching the lost and ministering to the church.

MONDAY

Pray that the church in Uganda would experience revival.

Pray that God would use us to get Ugandans to turn their backs on bad theology and prosperity gospel.

Pray that us and the Ugandan church would be effective witnesses to Muslims.

Pray that God would use us to give the Ugandan church a missionary burden for the many unreached people groups in Uganda.

Pray that God would raise up more trained pastors for the Uganda church so that there is less of a burden on us and on current pastors.

TUESDAY

Pray that God would give us good health.

Pray that God would keep us safe in driving and flying.

Pray that God would protect us from thieves and bandits.

Pray that God would bring peace to Uganda as areas are in the midst of war and civil unrest; pray also that God would provide food for the starving.

Pray that God would protect both us and Muslim converts from Muslims seeking to harm Christians.

WEDNESDAY

Pray that God would bless us with strong fellowship with other believers - both Ugandans and Americans.

Pray that God would enable us to learn the language and culture of Uganda well.

Pray that we would speak encouraging and helpful words to our fellow missionaries rather than cutting and hurtful words.

Pray that we would be the body of Christ to one another with every part doing its proper work; pray that they might love their neighbors as themselves.

Pray that we stay reminded of the height and depth and length and breadth of the love of Christ has for us.

THURSDAY

Pray that God would keep us safe from Satanic attack.

Pray that God would keep us from discouragement and from doubting the power of God.

Pray that we would put on the full armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18) every day so that we can stand against Satan.

Pray that God protects us from loneliness.

Pray that we pursue righteousness and flee from all evil.

FRIDAY

Pray that our marriage would be strong and an example to the Ugandans we are serving.

Pray that our children would continue to know Christ at an early age and be faithful disciples of Jesus.

Pray that our children would know they are deeply loved by their parents; pray that the children would not miss their friends and family too much.

Pray that God would helps us set the proper priorities in spending enough time together as a family.

Pray that God would provide the finances for us to leave and remain on the field.

SATURDAY

Pray that we come into the presence of God and worship Him on the Lord’s Day tomorrow.

Pray that what we are preaching and teaching tomorrow might lead some into the kingdom of God and others into maturity in Christ.

Pray that we might succeed at our greatest mission: to love the Lord God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.

Pray that we would hunger and thirst for the Word of God and that God would satisfy our hunger as we read the Word.

Pray that the busyness of our lives would drive us to our knees in prayer instead of driving us to busier activity.

Pray that many would be burdened to faithfully intercede for us.
